Alameda, CA was incorporated in 1854, and this historic community is embellished with a lot beautiful architecture over 100 years old. There are over 3,000 turn-of-the-century Victorian homes in this city, which works out to be about one home for every 25 people. Some of these homes, which are mostly in the Queen Anne or Italianate Victorian style, have been divided into two or four-unit dwellings.
